Usage Instructions
Setup
Prepare the Surface:
Clean the surface thoroughly to ensure there’s no dust, dirt, or oils. For glass and smooth plastics, use a standard glass cleaner. For metals, use a solvent like naphtha or a similar product. Wipe the surface dry with a lint-free cloth or paper towel to avoid leaving contaminants that could interfere with the adhesive. If applying to freshly painted surfaces, allow 3 weeks of curing time for proper off-gassing before decal application.
Position the Decal:
Hold the decal where you want to place it on the surface, making sure it fits as desired. Use masking tape to temporarily secure it in place.
Peel and Apply the Decal:
Carefully peel away the wax backing paper. If you’re applying a larger decal, you may wish to lightly spray the surface with application fluid to allow for easy adjustments.
Smooth the Decal:
Press the decal onto the surface using a squeegee. Start in the center and work outward to push air bubbles and excess moisture out toward the edges.
Remove the Transfer Tape:
Once the decal is securely applied, peel off the transfer tape at a 160° angle, ensuring the decal stays in place. If any part of the decal lifts, simply press it back down and use the squeegee for a firm bond.
Finishing Touches:
If you notice air bubbles or wrinkles, gently use the wax backing paper to smooth out the decal and press out imperfections. For any remaining bubbles, use a pin to pop them and smooth the area with the squeegee.
Maintenance
To keep your Ducks Comin’ In Decal looking sharp, clean it regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the decal’s finish. If the edges start to lift or peel, simply press them back into place. Reapply any car wax or Rain-X after cleaning the surface to maintain the protective coating.
Notes:
Chrome Option: The chrome decal provides a metallic finish with added visual appeal, perfect for those who want a reflective or shiny look. Chrome decals incur an additional $1.50 charge.
Custom Sizes: Custom sizes are available for specific needs, such as larger decals for trailers, walls, or boats. Contact us for more details on custom sizing options.
Application Tip: For the best adhesion, apply decals when the surface temperature is between 55°F and 95°F (13°C to 35°C). Avoid applying in extreme sunlight or when the surface is too hot, as it may cause the adhesive to stick prematurely.
The Ducks Comin’ In Duck Hunting Decal is an excellent way to personalize your hunting equipment, vehicle, or gear while showing off your love for duck hunting. Easy to install and made to last, this decal is perfect for any duck hunting enthusiast who wants to make a statement.
